Reference 001: Financial Controller – Shanghai (1)
Job responsibilities include:- Take ownership of oversight and management of company's and the fund’s finances;
- Develop metrics of what will make company and fund profitable and productive;
- Prepare reports on a regular basis that include monthly financial statements, cost reports, budgeting, forecasting reports and government reporting;
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual cash projections for the portfolio companies and manage fund financials and finances of investee companies;
- Ensure the books are accurate and that everything is accounted for in the company;
- Oversee and mentor a staff of accountants and/or financial analysts to be effective in their analysis and in their accounting duties as the company grows
Required Skills:
- Trustworthy, fiscally responsible, forward-thinking and mission-oriented
- 10-15 years experience working with VC-backed companies or SMEs
- Experience with public company reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and leading a company through an IPO would be helpful. Safeguard investors’ interests.
- Experience with international financial statements would be a plus
- Professional attitude with strong leadership and project management skills and experience
- High energy level, self-motivated, and excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong work ethic and results-oriented
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly and precisely present ideas verbally and in writing, in Chinese as well as English
- Strong academic background from a reputable university, MS degree or above is preferred
Reference 002: Advisory Head – Wuxi (1 - 2)
Job responsibilities include:- Develop and maintain long-term client and strategic relationships with senior corporate executives and high-level officials at government organizations
- Structure and execute innovative solutions to meet clients’ needs in their strategic business development goals
- Lead or assist in leading execution of innovation management and strategic consulting projects, coordinate entire project process
- Assist in identifying new advisory business opportunities
- Manage project teams and train associates/analysts
Ideal candidate should have:
- 5-10 consulting or business development experience in relevant industries. Experience working with/for Wuxi 530 companies and/or multinational companies is a plus
- Professional attitude with strong leadership and project management skills and experience
- High energy level, self-motivated, and excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong ability to work under pressure as an integral part of a team and lead project teams
- Good personal skills with excellent ability to focus on acquiring relevant information
- Strong work ethic, results-oriented, and commitment to personal and career development

- Strong academic background from a reputable university with MS degree in engineering. MBA is also a plus. Overseas education preferred
Reference 003: R&D Director – Shanghai (1)
Job responsibilities include:- Lead multiple R&D projects and team for new product development initiatives and/or product improvements - short and long term for new key business unit
- Work in a hands-on environment across a broad spectrum of activities, including new product strategy, concept development, product formulation, scale-up and plant pilots
- Assume the roles of innovator, project leader, and technical problem-solver as you team with Marketing, Marketing Research, Manufacturing and Engineering professionals
- Collaborate with business unit and technical cross-functional teams, as well as external partners, to meet project goals
- Maintain effective documentation including technical plans, experimental design, and new specification creation
Ideal candidate should have:
- M.S. degree or Ph.D. degree, preferably in food science or related discipline
- Minimum 4 years related R&D and product development experience
- Comfortable dealing with local companies and government
- Deep knowledge in science and technical areas, project management skills and strong interpersonal skills to lead cross-functional teams
- Experience with multinational company process and IP protection experience
- Demonstrated skills in developing effective external partnerships to deliver business needs
- Ability to manage numerous projects concurrently and adaptability to changing business needs. Prefer someone who has managed a new lab
- Good team-building skills with leadership and initiative, ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Entrepreneurial mindset, resourceful, with ambition to make things happen and willingness to embrace sweat equity
- Good skills in both spoken and written English
Reference 004:Associate/Analyst (2)
Job responsibilities include:- Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system
- Research local innovations in specific fields of interest to our clients
- Prepare and write research reports in English and Chinese
- Screen and perform DD on local companies and potential innovation partners for our clients
- Review current Chinese language journals and attend scientific and industry conferences to gather technology and industry information
- Assist clients in contract negotiation, R&D project monitoring and manufacturing outsourcing in China - liaison, set up meetings, advise on projects and contracts, monitor progress
- Assist in technology and competitive due diligence of investment opportunities
Ideal candidate should have:
- MS or Ph.D. degree in cleantech, biotech, biochem, medical, materials science, etc
- Genuine curiosity about science, technology and innovation. Possess an inquisitive mind
- Outgoing personality, likes to interact with people
- Organized, with great attention to detail
- Good judgment and discretion, strict adherence to confidentiality agreement with clients
- Good skills in both spoken and written English
- Hard-working and can-do attitude
- Overseas experience is a plus, but not necessary
- Some management and/or operations experience is a plus, but not necessary
